Burke Urban is expanding the Newenham Masterplan in line with our vision for the Western precinct. This next phase will introduce over 400 new residential lots, offering even more opportunities for families to make their home in the Adelaide Hills.
What makes this expansion especially meaningful is the land’s heritage. Owned for generations by the Liebelt family, it’s a place rich in history and connection to Mount Barker. The Liebelt family’s decision to entrust this land to Burke Urban is a humbling reflection of our shared values.

A respected national developer, Newland is entering the South Australian market for the first time—and they’ve chosen Newenham as their flagship project. Led by Richard Bryant, former head of Metricon Homes SA for over 12 years, Newland shares our passion for quality, integrity, and creating communities people are proud to call home.
Richard is now based at Newenham a few days a week, and we encourage you to say hello if you see him around.
The recent Pinnacle 6 land release, featuring 21 allotments, marked the first successful collaboration between Burke Urban and Newland. Together, we’re focused on building homes and neighbourhoods that enhance lifestyles, foster connection, and stand the test of time.
A School Site Secured for the Future
We’re also thrilled to confirm that land within Newenham has been secured for the development of a future second school. While it’s still early days with no formal announcements yet, this strategic move ensures the educational needs of our growing region are supported well into the future. Importantly, it also allows for more green space, benefiting students and the wider community alike.
Coming Soon: A Boutique Display Village
Another exciting development is the creation of a boutique display village on the northern side of the creek. Featuring 10 leading builders showcasing their latest home designs, the display village is expected to open in Spring 2026.
Nestled between the Newenham Linear Park and a proposed stage of the Kitchen Farm, it will form a beautiful connection between the northern and southern parts of our community. It’s more than a collection of homes; it’s a glimpse into the lifestyle and design ethos that define Newenham.
Preparing for the Next Chapter
To support this growth, works are underway on the Rainbird Drive road upgrade and creek crossing, which will soon provide access to the future allotments, school site, and display village. These works are integral to unlocking the next phase of the Newenham story.
Right now, there are just a few allotments remaining in our current major release, and we anticipate these will be contracted in the coming months. Looking ahead, our next major release, a collaboration with Newland Developments, is scheduled to launch in late 2025.
