With International Dog Day this Wednesday, 26 August, here’s some home inspiration for the four-legged members of the family. 🐾

We’ve found two clever ideas we love - a built-in dog bed in the laundry for a cosy retreat of their own, and a pull-out feeding station in the kitchen, with bowls and hidden dry food storage neatly tucked away.

Small details, but thoughtful ones when you’re designing a home around the way your whole family lives.

We love seeing new businesses opening their doors in our growing region, and Toros Steakhouse is one of the latest additions to Mount Barker`s dining scene.

As the name suggests, steaks take centre stage, with flame-grilled rib eye and porterhouse among the choices, alongside generous pasta dishes including garlic prawn fettuccini and a rich lamb ragu.

But there`s more coming from the kitchen - their pizzas are cooked fresh in an authentic woodfire oven and are available dine in or takeaway.

Whether it`s dinner with friends, a date night, a family meal or pizza to take home, it`s wonderful to have another local dining option on our doorstep.

Welcome to Mount Barker, Toros Steakhouse. 😊
