Shane and his wife Linda have run Shire for the past 15 years with their expert crew. They are completely focussed on their clients and their homes. With over 100 custom homes and a variety of other unique extensions and renovations complete, they are great at what they do (and they love it too).
“I am very passionate about the building industry, I’ve been in it my whole life and I think it’s the greatest industry on earth,” Shane says. “Honestly it’s the pride of walking away and knowing you’ve built your customer the best home possible – that’s the best part.”

“I always wanted to live in the Hills. I love the greenery and the beauty of the place – it’s the best place in the world to live. There’s so much natural water, wetlands, trees…”

“I think the Newenham project is wonderful. The estate is the perfect harmony between a city suburb and country living, and their refurbishment of the sales centre is fantastic. The grounds are great too – it’s that whole country setting they’ve really kept that alive, which is exactly what we’re trying to do at Shire too.”

“We can build it out of brick or we can build it out of limestone – we’re very diverse. We are not in the business of making square boxes, our homes are all very interesting and exciting.”
While advice and expertise is important, Shane says it’s the homeowner’s decision that remains priority. “I hate saying no, so even when clients have something that may not work from a builder’s perspective, we will make it work with something as close as possible to what they want.”
