On Friday, 17 March 2017, the Newenham team were thrilled to be joined on location by future residents for the first of many exciting community events to be hosted in the Newenham event space, adjacent to the Sales and Information Centre, in the heart of the development.
Catered by local favourites, Sazon, the fiesta was filled with wonderful Mexican flavours – tacos, quesadillas and churros for all – and was accompanied by the complementary sounds of the talented Christian Cifuentes Latin Trio.
This was the perfect opportunity to meet neighbours, see the progress on-site including the bitumen on the roads, kerbing, street signs and the start of the street trees plantings which all adds up to a spectacular looking site. Residents also heard about the innovative leaky tree wells and other unique initiatives introduced by Burke Urban which increase their investment and enhance this beautiful piece of land.
Amongst all the chatter and laugher, residents were very excited to meet their neighbours, point out their block and share their plans for their future at Newenham.
They were also introduced to many of the key Burke Urban team members all of whom have worked tirelessly to ensure Newenham has a real point of difference and delivers on its promise to enrich the health, happiness and wellbeing of residents and the wider community.
Together, everyone agreed this beautiful pocket of the Adelaide Hills turned on perfect weather for this inaugural event treating us to a spectacular sunset which highlighted just how delightful living here will be. Everyone truly enjoyed the opportunity to meet their neighbours and it was wonderful to see so many new friendships being built.
As Newenham continues to grow, we look forward to hosting more resident events to introduce our newest purchasers to our flourishing and diverse community, which will evolve and develop a spirit unique to Newenham.
