Kitchen Farm at Newenham.

Opened in 2021 as a pop-up café servicing the residents of Newenham, Kitchen Farm is now a thriving restuarant, produce store and event space operating out of the beautifully restored barn and garage at Newenham.

Open seven days a week and fully licensed, Kitchen Farm is an Adelaide Hills go-to for a relaxed breakfast or lunch in the Adelaide Hills.

Our very own Sales and Marketing Director, and now owner of Kitchen Farm, Olivia Burke explained “Kitchen Farm is a place for friends and family to come together, eat, share stories and create memories”.

“The kitchen restaurant was given life from the idea that the kitchen is the heart of the home, a feeling we hope to provide our guests when visiting and experiencing our relaxed countryside space’.

With a warm and rustic setting reflective of the beautiful Adelaide Hills environment it has been designed to be family and dog friendly, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating for everyone to enjoy, including fires to keep guests cosy throughout the colder months.

Kitchen Farm is one arm of the Kitchen Farm Adelaide Hills brand, a project delivering the regenerative farm and community focused opportunities, located on 8 hectares of land within Newenham.

The vision is to connect the Restaurant and Farm to deliver a paddock-to-plate experience and allow people from Newenham and the broader community to connect with each other and the environment by offering meaningful food experiences, farm education, farm tours, workshops, wellbeing practices and unique events and experiences.

The farm is taking baby-steps but can proudly say it is already propagating thousands of plants in a pop-up nursery to plant in Newenham’s verges this Spring. With the aim to help enrich the environment through improving the bio-diversity in the streetscapes, bringing in beneficial insects to assist with pollination and ultimately contribute to the wellbeing of the environment and the community. It is envisaged that we will soon be able to sell these home-grown plants at the Kitchen Farm too.

The market garden element of the Farm is still within its planning phase, but will soon supply fresh produce, grown from the heart, directly to the Pantry.

In the meantime, guests can visit and buy farm fresh regeneratively grown eggs, locally baked sourdough breads, local organic seasonal fruits, and beautiful native flowers. As well as browsing through the art on display by emerging local artists or attending some of the regular community events held.

Kitchen Farm is open seven days a week Monday – Friday: 8am – 3pm and Saturday & Sunday: 8am – 3:30pm.
