That is now a reality.
Kings Baptist Grammar School (KBGS) has now completed the build of their Adelaide Hills campus and has officially welcomed their first students from years ELC – Year 2.
A 5-hectare site within Newenham was purchased for the ELC – Year 12 campus as well as shared community and sporting recreation ovals, creating a centre for academic and extra-curricular excellence synonymous with KGBS.
Building on their strong reputation for academic excellence, performing arts, and sporting achievements at their Wynn Vale campus, KGBS joined forces with the Mount Barker Baptist Church to offer a second campus and the same learning opportunities in the Adelaide Hills.
The school is offering ELC – Year 2 classes throughout 2023, with additional year levels added in subsequent years. At capacity, the school is expected to cater for approximately 1200 students from ELC through to Year 12.
The Mount Barker District Council, together with KBGS, will share use of the adjoining sports and recreation reserves located on Bollen Road.
These reserves will be easily accessed via the Mount Barker Linear Trail that winds through Keith Stephenson Reserve – connecting students and families from Laratinga wetlands all the way to Newenham.
Kings Baptist Grammar School is a wonderful addition to the Newenham community as it aligns perfectly with the wellbeing philosophy and promotes diversity for parents when choosing an education for their children; all while bringing Newenham’s beautiful, natural environment into the classroom.
