We understand the process of designing a new home can sometimes be overwhelming. With so many interesting designs, enviable colour palettes and innovative features to consider, it can be difficult to know where to start.

To help you with your design process we’ve compiled a list of some wonderful websites, books and magazines we love to visit for inspiration.

      Houzz

Browse through more than 14 million photos of home designs, which you can filter based on your individual style. It provides you with the option to connect with local professionals who can help turn your dreams into reality. And if you find a particular product really catches your eye, you can purchase it direct through the website (although be careful not to get caught up with international providers who don’t ship to Australia). If you haven’t visited Houzz before rest assured it’s easy to sign up via email or through Facebook. But let us warn you, it can be addictive.

Use it as a search engine and simply type in what you’re looking to find – you’ll be amazed with the thousands upon thousands of images and websites you will discover. Create boards and ‘pin’ the pages you like to them so you can go back later, or send them to your significant other to get their feedback instantly.  Beware though, you can lose hours of your day (or night) as you happily pin away.
